The construction of the Ministry of Education tower is a reinforcement of UDeCOTT’s commitment to ensuring that the people of Trinidad and Tobago live and work under the best possible conditions. The Tower was designed specifically for the varied needs of the public and will provide a central location to access the services of our nation’s Ministry of Education.
The building is strategically located in the vicinity of the Twin Towers, International Waterfront Centre, Industrial Court, Parkade and Government Campus Plaza. The state-of-the-art glass and steel structure will provide staff and members of the public with a modern, user-friendly facility
The two buildings on site include a 16-storey office tower and 5-storey secondary building. The combination of glass and steel in this modern architectural structure will allow an immense amount of natural light to flow into the tower, resulting in a seamless transition between the building and the changing skyline of the nation’s capital.
While the base building works have already been completed on the building, the second phase of the works (i.e. the outfitting) will ensure the public and the staff of the Ministry of Education are provided with quality, contemporary office accommodation, conference and meeting rooms, large open work spaces and technologically advanced infrastructure which will support the modern telecommunication systems that are demanded by both present and future students of Trinidad and Tobago.
