Mr. Peter M. Kanhai is an accomplished executive with over forty (40) years of leadership experience in the Financial Services and Insurance Sectors. He currently serves as the Executive Director – Technical & Marketing at Comprehensive Insurance Brokers Ltd., where he has played a pivotal role in advancing client service excellence and organisational growth since 1985.

Mr. Kanhai holds a Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Anglia Ruskin University, UK, and is a registered insurance broker with the Central Bank of Trinidad & Tobago.  His career spans both corporate and national service, including key appointments as Chairman of the Sport and Culture Fund Board of Management under the Office of the Prime Minister, President of the Greater Tunapuna Chamber of Industry & Commerce, and Director of several public and private sector organisations including the steelpan and cultural fraternity.

Mr. Kanhai is known for his strategic insight, integrity, and unwavering commitment to national development, good governance, and institutional strengthening.

Ms. Indira Bansee
Director

Ms. Indira Bansee is a Financial Services professional with over two (2) decades of experience spanning the Banking and Insurance sectors. She is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Forensic Certified Public Accountant (FCPA), credentials that reflect her deep commitment to professional excellence and ethical standards.

Throughout her career, she has contributed to the strategic growth and operational resilience of the organizations she has served. Her expertise includes developing and implementing robust risk frameworks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing financial reporting and internal control systems.

Indira is known for her analytical acumen, leadership, and ability to navigate complex regulatory environments. She brings a forward-thinking approach to governance and risk, with a strong focus on aligning financial integrity with business objectives.

Ms. Hema Soondarsingh

With over fifteen (15) years of legal experience, including roles as Crown Counsel and State Counsel at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions in both Trinidad and Tobago and Cayman Islands, Ms. Hema Soondarsingh is now an independent Attorney-at-Law who brings deep expertise in criminal law, finance crime, litigation, and prosecution. She has successfully contributed to the pursuit of justice in complex criminal cases by navigating intricate legal frameworks and advocating for fair outcomes.

Mr. Omkarnath Supersad-Maharaj

Mr. Omkarnath Supersad-Maharaj is a seasoned executive with over twenty (20) years of experience leading strategic initiatives across the energy sector, with a focus on upstream, midstream, and downstream operations. He has advised on complex joint venture arrangements and led multimillion-dollar contract negotiations.

With a strong foundation in engineering and commercial strategy, he has provided leadership in areas including project development, business transformation, gas contract structuring, and cross-sector stakeholder engagement. His experience includes overseeing investment decisions, optimizing asset performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory, environmental, and governance frameworks.

Mr. Supersad-Maharaj holds a Master’s degree in Water Engineering (UK) as a Commonwealth Scholar, and a First-Class Honours degree in Chemical and Process Engineering. He has received advanced training in international energy law, negotiation strategy, leadership development, and infrastructure project management.

Known for his critical thinking, collaborative leadership, and systems-based approach to problem-solving, he brings a valuable blend of technical depth and strategic vision to boardrooms and advisory roles.

Mrs. Kimberly Carr-Hamilton

Mrs. Kimberly Carr-Hamilton joined the UDeCOTT family in May 2017 in the capacity of Corporate Governance Officer and was promoted to the role of  Corporate Secretary in April 2021.

Mrs. Carr-Hamilton is a qualified Attorney-at-Law with over sixteen (16) years experience and is trained in Public Procurement Law and holds a Post Graduate Qualification in Corporate and Commercial Law.

Ms. Tamica Charles
Chief Executive Officer

Ms. Tamica Charles joined the UDeCOTT family in March 2015 in the capacity of Corporate Secretary and was promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer in March 2021.

Ms. Charles is a qualified Attorney at Law with extensive experience at the Executive Level in State and Quasi-Public Organisations.

Ms. Charles is trained in Alternative Dispute Resolution and has completed the High Potential Leadership Programme with the Harvard Business School. She holds post graduate certification in Public Procurement Law and Policy and a Master of Business Administration in Corporate Governance.
