D’Abadie/Malabar Community Swimming Pool

The D’Abadie/Malabar Community Swimming Pool is a competition, training size pool, which will facilitate neighbouring communities, clubs and associations in conducting training, recreational and competitive swimming events, thereby improving the quality of life for citizens through recreational activity.

This facility comprises:

• A 15m x 25m competition training size pool with 6 lanes, and varying water depth from 1.2m on the shallowest end to 2.2m on the deepest end.
• A pool deck with a granolithic flooring finish
• 3 open external showers
• Spectator stands with seating capacity for 60 persons
• An Administrative building with change rooms, male and female washrooms, a disabled-persons washroom, showers, an office, janitor’s closet, storage/instructor’s room
• A concession room and covered concession area
• A pump room with separate chemical storage areas
• 21 carpark spaces, inclusive of 2 handicap parking spaces
