The facility will be the primary inpatient health care facility in the Borough of Arima servicing not only Arima but all its environs including D’Abadie, La Horquetta, Malabar and Arouca.
Its 150 beds will be dedicated to a wide range of medical services including Radiology, Physiotherapy, Psychiatry, Orthopaedics/ Burns, Optical, ENT, Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Surgery. The facility will also offer ambulatory care, accident and emergency, pharmacy/dispensary, laboratory/blood bank and mortuary services.
The hospital is being outfitted with all relevant medical equipment, furniture, security systems, data and wireless networking along with a central energy plant and waste water treatment plant.
External works will include parking spaces, roads, and landscaping.
