The Ministry of Health Administrative Building project is a significant initiative undertaken by the Ministry of Health in Trinidad and Tobago. This project addressed the need for a centralized administrative facility to replace the scattered locations which were used by the Ministry. By consolidating its offices into one centralized location, the Ministry aims to improve organizational synergy, enhance operational efficiency, and provide a better working environment for its employees.
Occupying a total floor area of 14,805.12 square meters (159,361 square feet), it consists of eight storeys, including a two-storey parking structure and external parking, providing a total of 286 parking spaces.
The Ministry of Health Administrative Building caters to the needs of the Ministry’s management and staff, as well as other stakeholders such as the Pan-American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO). The facility provides office space for over 800 persons, including 761 for MOH and 39 for PAHO/WHO. It also features a multipurpose lecture room capable of accommodating 150 persons, conference spaces with over 32 rooms in various configurations, a 200-capacity cafeteria, a digital library, daycare and breastfeeding facilities, and two fully equipped gyms for wellness activities.
