The Palo Seco Velodrome Revitalization Project, falls under UDeCOTT’s Sports and Recreation Portfolio and is being executed in collaboration with the Heritage Petroleum Company Limited.
The Palo Seco Velodrome Revitalization Project will provide for a range of sporting events and activities that are essential for the success and growth of Palo Seco and environs.
This revitalization project encompasses the following:
- Rehabilitation of the existing athletic field and running track;
- Rehabilitation of the existing cycling track;
- Restoration of the Sport’s Club House,
- Construction of a new Spectator Pavilion with Tea/ Media Box to accommodate approximately 1,000 persons (Inclusive of the installation of new seating),
- Construction of a new Athlete Pavilion to accommodate approximately 500 persons (Inclusive of the installation of new seating),
- Procurement and Installation of New lighting; and
- Rehabilitation of the existing parking facilities and new parking spaces,
- Perimeter fencing inclusive of pedestrian and access gates,
- New Guard Booth
